Las Marias Estate represents the latest precious acquisition of the Giraldo family. Jose, the family patriarch, dreamed of finding a high-altitude estate nestled within native forest, where the light conditions could enhance the quality of the most exotic coffee varieties. After a thorough search, he discovered Las Marias, a property that had lain abandoned for over twenty years and was in a disastrous state. With patience and dedication, Jose embarked on a meticulous process of selecting the best genetics, bringing this forgotten farm back to life.
Among all the varieties, Geisha stands out as the true treasure of the estate. These seeds, originating from Panama, have been cultivated with utmost care and attention.
The cherries, harvested at the perfect level of ripeness (Brix level over 22), are then carefully processed at the Cafe 1959 facilities. Thanks to the Giraldo family’s unwavering passion and meticulous attention to every detail, Las Marias Estate has become a symbol of excellence in the coffee world, renowned for the extraordinary quality of its production.
On the palate, one can perceive delicate notes of exotic fruits, such as ripe mango and papaya, with a smooth finish that evokes passion fruit, offering a rich and enveloping tasting experience.
